Again with the walks

David Dellucci came up with a huge home run against Joba Chamberlain and the Yankees.

Despite the win, the performance of Fausto Carmona is again very alarming. In what is becoming an every start occurance, Carmona walked more than twice as many hitters (5) as he struck out (2). Eleven baserunners in five innings and miracously only three runs allowed. Coming into the game Carmona had an ERC (measure of ERA using hits and walks) of 5.27 and a DIPS (measure of ERA independent of the defense behind him) of 5.55. So, that nice shiny ERA under 3 will not last long unless he stops puting runners on base.

Jhonny Peralta hit his sixth home run of the season, tonight out of the third hole in the lineup. Ben Francisco, in his first game since being called up, hit seventh going 1-4.

I said your exact title in the first inning... It's like he's running on nerves and expectations... LeBron performed in the same way last night...

Time to erase whatever the slump is and earn that paycheck...

I just don't get what is going on with Carmona. He has never had a walking problem throughout his professional career. I am hoping it is some mechanical flaw that is causing the problem.

You can't put two base-runners on each inning and expect to give your team a chance to win. He has been extremely lucky so far this season.

Also, as for the Cavs. You have to take some positive from that loss. The Cavs were bad (30% FG) and LeBron was even worse (11% FG) but they still only lost by four at Boston. The Celtics are very much beatable.

I agree... and think they'll take 'em... but either LeBron hurt his ankle and wouldn't dare mention it... (wah)

or he's intimidated by Garnett... He's still young and sometimes freezes up during playoffs and playing with idols...Garnett was just too cocky confident and it's hindering the King's bubble...He couldn't even make a layup...and refused to drive...

LeBron needs to stop nervously biting his nails and step up...

I heard something about Carmona's shoulder... ?

What did you hear about his shoulder? With the way he is pitching it wouldn't surprise me.

Shoulder injuries are very scary so I hope it isn't true.
